Our client is looking for a Mobile Device Deployment Support Technician for a 4mo contract in Sacramento, Ca.

OBJECTIVE: This position under general supervision of the IT Client Services supervisor or the team lead will provide support of handheld devices, iOS and Windows based.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position will be responsible for supporting the Infor Lawson handheld update project for the IT Client Services team. This position must have knowledge of network theory and technology, experience with device inventory processes. Proficient in Windows, iOS and iPhonehandheld device functionality with some desktop/laptop, mobile devices, computer hardware, peripherals, Windows and Mac operating systems, and application software.

Must be able to multi-task. Ability to work independently and with the team, set priorities, organize work and meet deadlines. Candidate should be able to take instructions from the team-lead and change in priorities in a dynamic environment.

DUTIES:

• Work closely with IT department teams and customers to deploy IT client devices.

• Occasionally lift materials up to 30 lbs with assistance.

• Be able to push dolly/carts with equipment loaded.

• Work in busy office environment with frequent interruptions.

• Use computer equipment for extended periods

• Be able to work under pressure and follow instructions.

• Ability to communicate effectively on a technical level with other knowledgeable technical persons.

• Ability to work independently and generate innovative solutions to problems

• Analysis and problem solving skills to quickly assess problems, evaluate options

• Maintain an accurate device inventory.

• Create and maintain device environment metrics, and other reports as required.

• Coordinate upgrades, replacements, or reconfigurations to pro-actively resolve client device issues.

• Configure, deploy and support application packages delivered to clients.

• Retire out-of-service field equipment to the Bargain Barn.

• Assist project managers, customers and network services on new projects and upgrades.

• Review device specifications with the customer, vendor and other IT departments.

• Assist in planning upgrades to support new devices.

• Following departmental guidelines, purchase and receive equipment

• Current on new wireless technology.
