Are you someone who is detail oriented looking for a career in quality? We are in search of a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Newport News. Each candidate is responsible for the monitoring and advancement of QA Inspectors, budget management and the daily functioning of the QA lab. This position is paying $50-$60K/yr.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for directing and supervising quality technicians to ensure that minimum standards are accomplished

• Conduct testing to determine causes for contamination in finished product that directly affect quality, shelf life, flavor and color.

• Calibrate thermometers plant-wide using approved laboratory methods.

• Employee development, safety, continuous improvement, budget management, data analysis, problem solving, and regulatory compliance

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other basic computer programs

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
