Mechanical Engineer needed in Greenville SC area. Leading manufacturer of custom engineered capital automation equipment within various industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for their facility north of Greenville SC. You would primarily be responsible for the design, development and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment and machinery. Family Owned Company

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

• Plans, designs and implements new or modified machinery.

• Designs products and systems to interface with machines, hardware and software

• Provides technical guidance on and coordinates or directs fabrication, testing and installation of products, machinery, components and systems

• Project management: coordinate and communicate timelines, expectations and results to involved parties with proper documentation and reporting

• Conceives and plans projects involving product/process problems and develops new and improved approaches to the design/development of product/processes.

• Plans and develops methods and procedures for testing products and equipment using a qualification process

• Extensive data analysis/collection skills and root cause analysis experience

• Conducts cross departmental training for all product/process changes

• Coordinates or directs engineering or manufacturing personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus.

• Ability to work hands on with industry tools, modify mechanical JIG

• Understand, maintain and perform work according to quality, health, safety and environmental standards

• Communicate effectively with internal employees, as well as external vendors

• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

• Perform other duties as assigned
