About the role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, self-managing Mobile App Developer to join our skilled team of specialists as they develop, enhance and work towards the delivery of the next generation of our suite of products. Think cutting edge processes and bespoke projects!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop rich user interfaces for performance-critical mobile applications, utilising cutting edge technologies
• Adapt between business, technology, and creative disciplines, with an innate ability to work with a team to deliver successful product projects
• Evolve from problems to working solution prototypes quickly, while being across the current and future state of digital technologies

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Solid experience in native Android mobile application development
• Fundamental experience with 1 or 2 other programming languages and frameworks including: Android development with Kotlin, Java 11 and C#, and Visual Studio (or Xamarin development)
• Understanding of TDD and application in project delivery
• Understanding of architecture: MVVM, MVP
• Aware of exposure to Push notifications
• Experience in rolling out Apps to play stores
• Experience in using networking libraries and local data storage
• REST APIs and experience in integrating with them using Retrofit and RxJava and RxAndroid or Kotlin Coroutines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good written and verbal English communication and excellent attention to detail
• Out-of-the-box thinker who works well in an agile and fast-paced environment
• A good understanding of the systems development life cycle

Experience:

• 2-3 years’ proven experience in Android app development (some local experience preferred)
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Development or relevant IT fields
