Our team has a need for a Software Engineer who is inspired by a job that challenges you to be proactive, make decisions and generate ideas that will push products above and beyond.

You will contribute to the build, test and delivery of a set of software applications to be deployed to advanced systems that process modern communications for the U.S. Government. The successful candidate will be skilled at the integration and maintenance of a product, including debugging issues to root causes. The successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of concepts related to networking, software architecture, and standard programming practices.

In this position you will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative. Application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts will be necessary while contributing to the development of new principles and concepts. After the proper clearance is obtained, there will be opportunities to work on actual field deployments of the product under development, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed. Work will be performed with guidance of a product lead and team members who will assist in establishing an approach, perform code review and support in testing to achieve long-range goals and objectives.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment

• Experience with system-level integration and testing, specifically, the integration of advanced, custom processing systems, testbeds, and software

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python

• Experience with JavaScript

• Experience developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex algorithms

• Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Qt

• Experience with Angular web GUI development

• Experience interpreting Standards

• Experience and/or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP

• Experience with or basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing

• Experience with or basic understanding of ITU Standards

• Experience with Configuration Management tools, such as git

• Existing TS/SCI clearance (Active within the last 24 months)

Required Education: Typically requires a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Desired Education: Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
