REAch2 is seeking to appoint a new National Director of Education to help develop and to deliver great schools, the very best educational outcomes and exceptional opportunities for the children that we serve. We look to this role for strategic leadership to ensure a disciplined approach to school improvement and a culture of aspiration, inclusion and wellbeing for pupils and staff alike. The National Director of Education holds Deputy Directors of Education and school leadership to account for the delivery on this commitment.
Working across a range of communities and serving some of the most deprived children, the individual must be passionate about improving life chances for all 20,000 children across the trust. From the enrichment opportunities that are on offer to levelling the playing field in providing an inclusive environment for young people to thrive. In practical terms securing the best outcomes for pupils in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 whilst striving for continuous improvements as measured by Ofsted.
This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and provides reports and advice to the Trust Board, as required. As a member of the Executive Team, the National Director of Education plays a key role in the strategic development and future growth of the Trust – and is the key contact with the Department for Education and an advocate for REAch2 with policy makers and leaders across the sector.
We expect the National Director of Education to promote excellence and innovation across all REAch2 schools and to remove barriers that inhibit access to equal educational opportunities for pupils. For staff, the National Director of Education leads the way in creating an inclusive environment and actively promoting diversity. Our expectation is that REAch2 will offer both exciting career development opportunities and a working environment that enables everyone to thrive.
The National Director of Education will ensure that all schools have effective leadership and governance and that they operate within a compliant and financially responsible framework and with the appropriate resources to support their improvement journey to being a Great School
