Job Description:

As part of the Secure Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approval, continuous monitoring and assessment and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

The Level 1 Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Will provide the development, test deploy and sustainment of various python based ReST end points, microservices and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongDB and PostgreSQL and send data upon request in Json Format to UI front ends.
• Provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
• Modify existing software to correct errors to improve its performance.
• Python, Experienced using Django or Flask, Databased Experience using MongoDB, or Maria DB, ReST Endpoint Development and Micro Service Model experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• 7 years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: 120,000-170,000
