The Data Management Lead will be responsible for implementing Data Management solutions in close partnership with Business, Product, Architects and Data Governance teams. This is an opportunity to showcase your passion for data management and data quality in fast moving and dynamic environment. This position requires you to participate in discussions with the scrum team and collaborate with other Senior Engineers, Architects and the product teams to develop holistic and robust solutions that increase Data Management quotient of the organization
Lead the analysis, design, development, and support for reports, dashboards, scorecards, ETL packages, and other BI components specific to assigned projects – in alignment with existing defined architecture and development standards
Participates in project planning to ensure effective use of technology and/or business process to meet customers’ needs
Monitor the database system in order to guarantee optimal performance and proactively recommend corrective actions when issues are identified
Develop reporting solutions ranging from simple grid reports or documents to complex multi-paneled, interactive dashboards
Scope of Responsibility:
Develop strong partnerships with all business units and key external customers to improve the overall RealPage customer experience
Lead teams that include Vice President and technical engineering staff
Lead and champion global wide data management programs for large enterprise company
Lead a team of 300+ with minimum of 2-3 direct reports
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
In-depth experience with the development lifecycle and software development methodologies
Deep understanding of Data and Analytics, including full life-cycle development
Work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels to ensure reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of applications
Experience in monitoring development and ensuring best practice development techniques
Understand complex data models and business processes relating to master data domains such as Customer, Customer Relationship and Product
Results focused – ability to lead and work with cross functional teams to complete complex projects and initiatives on time with high quality results
Lead projects and initiatives, including collection and synthesis of requirements, recommendations, working with business and Information Service groups to implement
Demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically approach problem solving, and manage execution
Four-year college degree in computer engineering or technical area or equivalent business experience, masters preferred
10+ years of experience building and maintaining BI applications and data management processes
Must have an ability to think strategically and objectively and effectively translate data into measurable insights/strategies
Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, changing environment that is going through high growth
Strong results orientation with a consistent track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
Strategic analysis/creative problem solving, business judgment and financial acuity are required
Shown success in leading high-performance teams and achieving results through others
Proven ability to drive increased customer retention based on metric driven analysis to understand the reasons for customer attrition
Communication – excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; strong verbal and written communication as well as conflict management skills. Exceptional skills presenting at executive and industry analyst briefings, sales kickoffs and customer meetings
Project Management – strong organization, project lifecycle and planning skills
Industry/Business Acumen – demonstrated analytical thinking and cognitive abilities with technical and clinical acumen to identify opportunities and solve market/customer challenges
Proven record of leading project and program teams in a technical/programming or data processing environment
Ability to work effectively with and motivate virtual teams
Strong ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
