Job Description :

  • Perform a wide variety of diagnostic tests on patient specimens and report results of the tests according to established protocols in the Biochemistry Section, to help clinicians diagnose, treat diseases, and monitor therapy.
  • Perform receiving and sorting of specimens, assessing suitability of specimens for testing, data entry of test requests, and rejection of specimens that are unsuitable for testing.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control programmes, assists in phlebotomy for inpatients, assists in providing on-the-bench training for new staff , assists in initiatives to review and improve processes within the Section to achieve organisational goals, and supports the Section Leader in operational and administrative matters.

Requirements

  • Min Bachelor’s Degree and above in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Good interpersonal skills
