THE ROLE

Our client uses many different, exciting technologies to assist our business operations in transport, logistics, and international shipping. As such, technology functionality is a focus. Our technical teams play an incredibly crucial role in our technology and business.

As our technical consultant, you will offer sound advice on using our bespoke software – CargoWise, and the reporting and data insights to support business decisions, across the globe. You will bridge the gap between our technology and our business, to ensure we are optimising the use of our freight software. Not only will you understand our software, but you will also be able to extract information for key stakeholders and customers to offer the best solution to their needs.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The purpose of the Technical Consultant is to leverage CargoWise data, in turn allowing the business to gain valuable insights and make informed decisions that drive operational efficiency and reduce cost. You will be able to create and build key reports to provide the business with the analysis to support critical decisions.

Responsibilities will cover:

• Designing and implementing information technology solutions to meet customer needs
• Explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences in layman’s terms
• Build, enhance, and develop strong reporting structures and ways of working using CargoWise Data
• Manage stakeholder expectations, looking at things from an operational business view
• Maintain reporting, dashboards, and data visualisation tools

THE TEAM WE’RE AFTER

• Expertise working in CargoWise
• Experience presenting data and reporting to key stakeholders
• Experience in report creation and dashboarding
• Experience in SQL Queries, R, or similar programming languages
• Experience in EDI
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convert technical terms to business stakeholders
• Experience in reporting or business analysis role
