Our client has been a leader in the solar industry for over 30 years and is now on the lookout for a Technical Solar Sales Engineer to join their busy and vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest /background in the electrical/ electronics industry who is looking to use their technical skills in a sales role with a difference.

About The Opportunity

As the Technical Solar Sales Engineer, you will assist the Sales team with answering inbound customer enquiries, making outbound calls, drafting up sales estimates and advancing your knowledge of all the technical details of products. Your role will be to create technical solutions for customer enquiries and build strong customer rapport through your professional and empathetic customer-centric approach.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Plan and design different power systems that meet the customer’s requirements
• Answer and process inbound calls, chat, email and web enquiries
• Account management – focus on positive relationship-building
• Other sales administration tasks as needed
• Meeting KPIs

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in a sales position ideally within the Solar industry. As this is a technical sales role, an understanding of Solar PV Electrical is preferred.

Additionally, You Will Also Have

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills
• Competent in mathematics
• Experienced using CRM systems
• Experience with standalone and hybrid solar systems
• A true passion for the solar industry
• The ability to lead, mentor and inspire a sales team to continuously achieve KPI’s
