Position Overview:

RecruitGo is seeking an Accountant to join our team, working with our client based in New Zealand. Our client industry is an accounting firm dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services, practical tax advice, and championing sustainability and business growth for ambitious businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Tax returns and tax compliance
• GST returns, prepare FBT returns, obtain
• information for tax returns and make claims on
• behalf of clients, respond to IRD queries, etc
• Management accounting e.g. preparing income projections
• Periodic accounting e.g., reconciling and analyse ledgers, preparing statements of financial
• performance and of financial position monthly and/or annually, prepare trial balances, prepare graphs, carry out analytical reviews of results,
• determine appropriate accounting policies and notes to accounts, etc.
• Accounting and tax for a company, trusts, and sole traders
• Undertake any other specific duties as required by management

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Accounting degree
• At least 2 years of experience with New Zealand or Australian Taxation.
• Competent and literate with the following software packages
• Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Microsoft Word and Excel.
