Red Canyon Engineering & Software Looking for Software Engineering Internship Opportunities – Summer 2025 at Denver, CO Full Time

Red Canyon Software is looking to hire undergraduate or graduate students to assist us with building out our Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) flight software library for spacecraft for Summer 2025. Students will be utilizing Core Flight Software (cFS) and F’ flight software frameworks. Students will need to be fluent in C, Python and familiar with GNC algorithms and associated hardware (reaction wheels, inertial reference units, star cameras, etc.).
Remote, paid, full-time internship opportunity
8-10 Weeks (exact start & end date currently TBD)
Required
- Must be currently pursuing a M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program with strong academic performance
- Must have previous experience with the following:
- o Guidance, Navigation, and Control software
- o Python, C/C++, RTOS, MATLAB/Simulink, Linux
- o Algorithm development
- General understanding of coding best practices and standards
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Self- starter, analytical, tenacious problem solver
- Passion for aerospace
- US Citizen
$6,500 – $6,500 one-time

We help our contractors with the full life cycle of product development from requirements to test and delivery.
Some of the programs we have previously or currently worked on include: Human Lander System, Artemis I-II, WorldView Legion V, Perseverance Rover, InSight, GeoXO, Tranche-1, LizzieSat, Dream Chaser, Psyche, Mars 98, Odyssey 01, Stardust, Genesis and Deep Impact, Mars Phoenix, Joint Polar Satellite System, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Orion, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, GOES-R, OSIRIS-REx, Maven, JUNO, Grail, and the MarsFlight and LunarSIM Simulation.
