Our client, a well-established global technology business is seeking a Sales/Account Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The company are based in Dublin 24.

**Salary – €65,000, plus bonus and benefits**

The aim of the role is to develop, implement and maintain a direct sales activity programme which contributes to the delivery of the company’s revenue plan. The chosen candidate will maintain and develop business relationships while securing the opportunities from customer accounts, existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the production, development and implementation of a direct sales strategy securing order intake and long term business development targets.
• Evaluate the potential of key accounts for revenue generation potential.
• Establish and maintain a key account liaison programme to assist in opportunity identification and customer account management.
• Contribute fully to the development and production of bids for new business and services. Investigate and solve customers’ problems, which may be complex or long-standing that have been passed on by MD, Software or Service Operatives.
• Give sales presentations in support of bids and general business development activity.
• Production of Period Reports on all direct sales activity.
• Identify and analyse competitors and propose responses to threats through planned action.
• Market analysis into the target UK sectors generally and on an allocated accounts basis.
• Maintenance and updating of the Sales Database including a full contact matrix.
• Visit and liaise with the sales and technical hardware & software teams throughout Europe to be aware of the current and future product capabilities.
• Obtain and communicate to the Senior Management Team throughout Europe, gain information related to the markets, the political and economical status for the area, the competitor product range and their marketing and sales activity in the area.
• Assist with Press Releases and Advertising
• The role will require frequent travel across Republic of Ireland and some European travel

Essential requirements

• Experience building and maintaining client relationships at all levels.
• Proven experience managing processes, products, market developments
• Experience of leading the commercial and technical negotiations with customers via presentations/conferences
• Ability to champion and promote ideas that support business growth
• Ability to review financial data and business cases to contribute to discussions on future strategic or tactical initiatives
• Excellent negotiation skills and creative thinking.
• Proven experience with people managing, teams of 10+
• Track record of B2B sales.
• Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to engage with senior decision makers.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage in strong client relationships.
• A proactive mind set, with a focus on planning and forecasting sales performance.
