Regions Healthcare services is seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented Receptionist/Intake Specialist to join our growing business. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to help manage our clinical intakes and to provide general reception/administrative support . The ideal candidate will excel in multi-tasking and will be taking on additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team in this fast pace environment, be able to work with minimal guidance, and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, while having a fine attention to detail.

The Intake Specialist will be the first point of contact for our clients, so this individual is tasked with making a great first impression, discussing our services with clients and determining whether the caller meets our case criteria. Exceptional customer service skills are a must!

DUTIES

• Answer all incoming calls.
• Filing Documents
• Opening new cases in our filing system and distributing to appropriate manager
• Scanning
• Greeting in-office guests
• Stocking and ensuring that office is maintained and well organized
• Gathering information from potential clients in a friendly and empathetic manner
• Work closely with Supervisors to evaluate potential cases
• Manage referral database and work with management and agencies
• Management of incoming and outgoing deliveries and postage
• Faxes signed referrals to the appropriate party.
• Educates prospective patients, families, regarding home health services available.
• Maintains a call log for all incoming calls.
• Obtains authorization for visits from insurance or Medicaid patients as appropriate.
• Updates insurance case manager on patient status and the need for additional visits throughout the episode of care.
