REI Hiring for HR Generalist at Seattle, WA Full Time

Main resource to the business for general employment practices issues. Works closely with individuals and managers in a division, site or team to bring solutions. Brings consistent best practices, process and policy to maintain and influence organizational health. Partners closely with HRBP and core HR functions to develop HR skill set and deliver outstanding service to the business. Helps leaders evaluate and act on opportunities within their teams. Collaborates with HR partners on various projects and programs. Utilizes discretion and good judgment in all decisions. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.
- Provides support and guidance to employees and managers to resolve a variety of employment and performance issues, as well as being a main point of contact for questions or concerns.
- Frequently communicating, checking in and helping a team, division or site interpret policies and procedures using consistent best practices.
- Help mitigate risk by identifying and providing timely solutions using consistent methods and sound judgment.
- Participate on project teams supporting implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
- Partner with HRBP team on developing change management strategies and communication plans
- Actively participates and collaborates with HR COE and HRBP team with initiatives and strategies that drive organizational health such as: performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement, change management, etc.
- Assists in gathering, reviewing data and doing analysis to share metrics with the business; helps to devise options and recommendations to help drive people programs and practices forward.
- Participates in talent assessments, workforce planning and other strategic initiatives.
- Review and monitor HR processes, policies and procedures and propose changes or updates as needed.
- Provide operational and transactional support to the HRBP team and leaders.
- Fill in as interim coverage for HRBP team as needed.
Bring your passion and expertise
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- 4- year degree in Human Resources or related field
- General knowledge of all HR core competencies: change management, organizational development, performance management, leadership development, employee practices, talent mgmt.., total rewards
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, can manage multiple tasks and priorities and provide excellent client services
- Ability to effectively interact and partner with employees and leaders at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of employment law and risk management
- Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
- Project management and planning skills
- Works independently to prioritize work, establish goals and produce quality work
- Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
- Ability to quickly build relationships to influence the accomplishment of organizational goals
- Ability to consolidate information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, REI provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
$47,500 to $97,500 per year
