Responsibilities What do our Buyers do? This position will be responsible to monitor and manage purchasing related functions as it relates to “Pest” and “Turf” products and supplies. Will assist and coordinate purchasing assigned duties with the Turf Purchasing Manager and the Pest Purchasing Manager in various purchasing related functions. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Place purchase orders with vendors and follow up with the warehouse locations Maintain Purchasing e-mail queue Assist purchasing managers with inventory and pricing discrepancies Help maintain vendor contracts in the system, i.e., new vendor pricing Assist with special projects; including, but not limited to: Provide pricing (quote) assistance to the Sales Service Managers and Sales Reps System data clean up Evaluate and update SKU descriptions Generate inventory related reports Generate direct ship POs for all turf and pest New SKU set up for turf and pest Purchase pest and turf products Procuring necessary stocking levels for each branch via direct vendor buy or intra company branch transfer What do you need? High school diploma or GED, college preferred One year accounting and/or purchasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Outgoing, Energetic and Persistent Relationship/Consultative Selling Trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision Professional Appearance & Demeanor: Business Casual Attire Comfortable speaking with and presenting to individuals and small groups Proficient Computer Skills: Internet, email, contact management software and smart phone operation Excellent verbal and written communication Must pass pre-employment background screen Qualifications Why Choose Target Specialty Products?
