Description:

Hospital collections. Needs hospital, clinic, or large physician’s office experience

Looking for candidates with 2 + years of hospital collections background with experience
processing third party non-governmental payer denials and appeals., 1+ year at same employer, desire for long-term assignment, able to manage a caseload of 30-35 accounts per day once fully trained.

Top 3 Preferred Skills:
1. Able to read and understand managed care/hospital contracts
2. Has worked with contract manager systems before
3. critical thinking skills

Top 3- 5 Daily Responsibilities:
1. calling to obtain payment owed to the hospital
2. ensuring claim is netted down to the correct expected reimbursement amount and requesting related adjustments
3. Processing high dollar amount claims (8 million + per day)
4. Ascertaining the reason for underpayment or denial and writing effective appeal letters to procure additional amount owed to the hospital.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
