ICONIC Australian Brand – Android Engineer for initial 6 month contract – Must have experience with working in Android development – from project creation to release signing
About the Role:
The Android Engineer will build and deliver mobile apps for an iconic retail brand, working on their loyalty program and payment platforms.
Key Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Android development
- Good exposure to Agile Scrum working environments
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
- Familiar with SQL databases
- Experience in a cloud environment desirable
- Stakeholder management skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to coordinate across technology and business teams
Technical experience:
- Kotlin
- Asynchronous and reactive programming using Coroutines and Flows
- Dependency Injection – Dagger/Hilt
- TDD – Unit / Integration and e2e Testing
- REST, JSON
- SOLID Principles and application
- GIT
- Full Android development lifecycle from project creation to release signing
