ICONIC Australian Brand – Android Engineer for initial 6 month contract – Must have experience with working in Android development – from project creation to release signing

About the Role:

The Android Engineer will build and deliver mobile apps for an iconic retail brand, working on their loyalty program and payment platforms.

Key Skills:

• At least 2 years’ experience working in Android development
• Good exposure to Agile Scrum working environments
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
• Familiar with SQL databases
• Experience in a cloud environment desirable
• Stakeholder management skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to coordinate across technology and business teams

Technical experience:

• Kotlin
• Asynchronous and reactive programming using Coroutines and Flows
• Dependency Injection – Dagger/Hilt
• TDD – Unit / Integration and e2e Testing
• REST, JSON
• SOLID Principles and application
• GIT
• Full Android development lifecycle from project creation to release signing
