Full Job Description

Looking for a part-time, remote medical scribe to work from home, to assist the medical provider with documentation into the EMR.

You will be responsible for updating the EMR with pertinent, well-written medical history, physical examination, assessment and plan. You will input provider’s orders and prescriptions into EMR.

No video interaction with provider or patients required.

Scribing is not done in real time, so you have the ability to set your own hours and work when you want (at night, on weekends, etc.).

Paid training will be provided regarding the provider’s EMR documentation workflow and preferences.

Expected turnaround time of 24 hours to complete notes.

Expected availability of 10 to 15 hours per week.

Position Requirements:

• Excellent professional writing skills, English grammar and spelling
• Excellent typing skills
• Self-sufficient and quick to learn
• You must work in a secure and private location on a computer with a secure, reliable high-speed internet connection
• Compliance with medical practice policies, including those relating to HIPAA
• You must reside within the United States
• Position is 1099/ Independent Contractor Position

Education:

• High school or equivalent

Experience:

• Knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred
• Experience as a medical scribe (1+ year)
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred but not required

Schedule:

• Flexible – you are expected to complete the notes in 24 hours, so you set your hours
• Part time – Average 2 to 3 hours per day/ 10 to 15 hours per week

Pay is $13 to $15 per hour, depending on experience.

Position is 1099/ Independent Contractor Position
