About the role

The Construction Manager, NZ will be based in Auckland but be required to work across multiple telecommunication projects in NZ.

This role will require you to oversee the works of various projects. Duties include but not limited to:

• Oversee telecommunication construction projects from SAED to completion
• Ensuring strict adherence to contract terms
• Manage site safety and quality and adhere to legislations and clients requirements
• Organise and coordinate construction activities – including Site / project responsibility / employee and subcontractor management
• Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Budget responsibilities for each project
• Build a team who can along with you, define and coordinate technical solutions, provide technical oversight and handle all contractual matters.
• Reporting and tracking status reporting as per contractor and RFI requirements

About you

• Relevant qualifications and industry experience
• You have the ability to promote total job safety and environmental awareness in all projects and work activities
• An understanding of and experience with win strategies, pricing and project scheduling
• Well development leadership and negotiation skills
• Experienced in tender and bid reviews – would be advantageous
• Fully experienced in telecommunications construction projects – with proven experience managing complex, experience with rigging and busy projects.
