This reputable company’s Accounting Clerk position handles matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities

• Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

• General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable

• Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

• Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents

• Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned

• Post financial information to journals and ledgers

• Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

  Requirements

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Prior knowledge in spreadsheets, QuickBooks and ERP systems
