Robert Half Hiring for Accounts Receivable Clerk at INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana Full Time

Description We are currently seeking Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk candidates who are self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a short-term contract / contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. The Accounts Receivable Clerk’s duties will be to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. A strong candidate for this job will be looking for career growth potential, and be capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.

• Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

• Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization

• Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

• Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

• Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

• Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

• Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

• Confirm documents and codes Requirements – 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Great attention to detail

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• SAP experience

• Knowledge of accounts receivable aging

• Current and relevant ERP system experience

• General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
