Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Aid Analyst in the Education industry, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role involves the evaluation and processing of financial aid applications, utilizing specialized software, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate financial aid applications based on established criteria
• Use 3rd party software for data entry and analysis
• Maintain a tracking Excel spreadsheet for application reviews
• Issue financial aid to eligible applicants using Facts software
• Ensure accurate data importation, sorting, and matching fields in Excel
• Make judgement calls and offer recommendations based on analysis
• Collaborate with the accounting department for efficient processing
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions
• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required
• Experience with Auditing is necessary
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential
• Familiarity with Student Financial Aid processes and regulations
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are desired
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and guidelines
• Proficiency in using financial management software and systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
• Experience in an educational setting or financial aid office is a plus.
