Description If you love Human Resources and you’re looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Your responsibilities in this role
Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department
Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures Requirements
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Prior HR Generalist experience
Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
This position’s duties require a person who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Full cycle recruiting experience
Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
