We are offering a role for a diligent and meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team in St. Albans, Maine. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes and regulations, along with the ability to resolve payroll-related inquiries effectively while utilizing Paylocity software

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and promptly for all employees.

• Calculate wages, overtime, shift differentials, and deductions in compliance with company policies.

• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.

• Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.

• Utilize specialized software such as Paylocity to manage payroll procedures.

• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed correctly and in compliance with legal requirements.

• Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accounts payable functions are accurately carried out.

• Stay updated on the latest payroll trends, statutory taxes, and industry regulations to ensure company compliance.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in performing Accounting Functions

• Proven ability in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in using Paylocity software

• Strong understanding of payroll processes and systems

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
