We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer with proficiency in UltraTax to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns, specifically 1040 forms, and will ensure accurate, timely filing while providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040) accurately and efficiently.

• Utilize UltraTax software to complete and file returns.

• Analyze client financial documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Identify potential credits, deductions, and opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.

• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings.

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, clarify data, and explain tax-related concepts.

• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all tax practices.

• Stay up-to-date with tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience preparing individual tax returns, specifically 1040 forms.

• Proficiency in UltraTax software.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• [CPA/EA certification preferred but not required.]

• [Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.]
