Description
Robert Half is currently sourcing for a Senior Auditor that can assist our client with a contract-to-hire opportunity. The Senior Auditor will be on-site five days a week. As a Senior Auditor, you will be doing the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans financial audits by
o understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations
o identifying risk areas
o preparing audit scope and objectives o preparing audit programs
• Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls by
o executing audit program steps o testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements o examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
• Assesses risks and internal controls by o identifying areas of non-compliance o evaluating manual and automated financial processes
o identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues
• Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing and analyzing items and collateral to documentation.
• Completes audit work papers and memorandums by documenting audit tests and findings.
• Communicates audit progress and findings by o providing information in status meetings
o highlighting unresolved issues
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be a Certified Public Accountant or actively pursuing a CPA license • Must have worked at least five years in public accounting for a local, regional, or national CPA firm • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field • 5 years of GAAP experience • 5 years of non-profit accounting experience • 5 years of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) experience
