What You’ll Do

As the Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be tasked with preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries, documenting financial transactions, recommending financial actions, summarising current financial status, substantiating financial transactions through auditing, and maintaining accounting controls. Your ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders will be crucial in this role.

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
• Document financial transactions by entering account information
• Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options
• Summarise current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Financial Accountant position is someone who brings a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. You should have experience creating financial statements as well as familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Your excellent accounting software user administration skills will be essential in this role. Additionally, your ability to analyse data and provide sound financial recommendations will set you apart. Strong interpersonal skills are also required as you’ll be communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user administration skills
• Ability to analyse data and provide financial recommendations
• Experience & knowledge in the logistics industry preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with internal and external stakeholders
