STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: UMMC North Street Campus

DEPARTMENT: Radiology

SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night

ATTRIBUTES

• Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.

• NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.

• NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

• Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred

• CT experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care.Responsible for radiography of patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT guided procedures; provide on-call coverage for CT section of Radiology; follow up on patient care issues/needs

• Documentation.Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and procedures; document performance of studies in patient charts

• Daily Maintenance.Assist with day-to-day supervision of the CT team; clean, restock and prepare rooms

  EDUCATIONAAS: Radiologic Technology

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSM – Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

  LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSRT(R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist – New York State Education Department (NYSED)
