Description SUMMARY As a Nurse Practitioner, your superior interpersonal and empathetic skills, as well as your comprehension of diagnostic procedures greatly assists you in providing medical services to patients. STATUS: Full-Time LOCATION: Unity Hospital; various dialysis centers DEPARTMENT: Nephrology SCHEDULE: Days, Monday-Friday ATTRIBUTES – Excellent customer service and communication skills- Strong attention to detail- Compassionate, kind and patient focused- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment- RESPONSIBILITIES – Diagnosis. Perform a complete medical history and physical exam of every patient to develop a comprehensive plan of patient care. Select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures. Share dialysis care duties with the primary Nephrologist as appropriate.- Treatment. Round daily on dialysis patients with history and physical assessments as needed and provide appropriate documentation of all patients in the EMR. Provide consultative care for patient hospitalized with end stage renal disease.- Administrative Assistance. Perform administrative responsibilities such as updating patient charts, billing codes and completing required documents from outside agenciesEDUCATION: – MS: Advanced Practice Nursing (Required)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M – Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: – RN – Registered Nurse – New York State Education Department (NYSED)- NP – Nurse Practitioner Certification – New York State Education Department (NYSED)PAY RANGE: $95,000.00 – $150,000.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
