Intern, Test / QA Engineer

Rohde & Schwarz develops, produces and markets a wide range of electronic capital goods for industry, infrastructure operators and government customers. The independent group is among the technology and market leaders in all of its business fields, including wireless communications and RF test and measurement, broadcast and media, air traffic control and military radiocommunications, cybersecurity and network technology. 

Responsibilities:

• Gather product requirements
• Build and maintain test automation system for continuous integration and constant quality check.
• Develop and maintain test environment and test cases for software and hardware system.
• Analyze test result, detect issues and track possible root causes.
• Document, track existing issues, and follow-up accordingly to align on product delivery schedule.
• Develop and maintain test simulators

Requirements:

• Knowledge on Pytest/Python programming
• Knowledge on any communication protocols (TCP, UART/USART, CAN, MODBUS, etc.)
• Knowledge on Linux commands
• Knowledge on testing methodologies (Functional, Unit, Integration etc.)
• Good analytical skills
• Pro-active and self-motivated
• Team player
• Good communication skills

Good to have:

• Experience in using CI tools (Jenkins)
• Experience in using source control tools (git, SVN, etc.)
• Experience in using bug tracking tools (Mantis, JIRA, PerForce etc.)
• Knowledge in power supplies
