Service Associate with our home furnishings Delivery Center in Golden Valley, MN, you are the heart of our welcoming and professional atmosphere. You will work in an office setting to coordinate details associated with repair services for our customers both locally and across the country. The Service Associate is a key member of the Customer Support team and has a unique role focused on creating a seamless service and repair experience for our customers when it comes to product or property damage. You will work closely with our repair professionals, outside vendors, retail partners and delivery teams to ensure our customers have the beautiful and quality products and services they expect from Room and Board.
Location: 4600 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley MN 55422
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

- You believe in teamwork. You work in close partnership with our retail, delivery and vendor partners and have exceptional follow through skills that help you see a project through to completion.
- You embrace technology. You’re comfortable learning custom programs and tools for virtual service appointments, part ordering, product specifications, etc. to effectively communicate with customers, vendors and retails/delivery team members.
- You are an educator. You embrace knowledge sharing and help to educate your peers, our product quality team, customers and delivery teams on what can and cannot be serviced.
The experience and qualifications you’ll bring:
- At least 5+ years of professional customer service experience. Previous customer experience within a delivery or retail environment preferred
- A passion for customer service and true appreciation for the impact our exceptional customer service has on our brand and our industry
- Confidence in navigating solutions without a process document or the need to “check with your manager”
- Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to make appropriate judgment calls
- Strong learning agility with the ability and willingness to learn new things such as product assortment
- Laser-like focus when it comes to details
- Intuitive with an innate ability to anticipate needs

- Guaranteed annual salary: $46,000 / yr ($22/hr+) depending on experience/qualifications, plus paid overtime
