Job Summary: Place orders from QA approved vendors, request documents as required by policies, approve invoices for purchase orders and assist in new graphics

Responsibilities:

Place orders from QA approved vendors only as needed per MRP forecast.

Ensure approved supplier list is kept updated.

Request documentation as required per policy (COA’s, Spec’s, MSDS, Kosher)

Communicate all purchase order to warehouse employees

Communicate company requirements to vendors/suppliers.

Negotiate pricing for materials with vendors.

Advise vendors of most cost efficient shipping methods.

Order JIT to maximize freshness and reduce risk of ingredients & supplies.

Assist in implementing new graphics/updates.

Keeping area clean and orderly.

Follow all Company safety rules and regulations.

Report any damage to product and equipment immediately to the Supervisor.

Follow the Company GMP and SOP policies and procedures as prescribed.

Abide by all Company SQF (Safe Quality Food) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) practices to ensure food safety.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other or similar duties as directed.

Qualifications: Previous purchasing experience required.
