**Bilingual non-imperative is defined as a staffing procedure for a bilingual position allowing the consideration of applicants who meet all essential qualifications except for the requisite language skills. Successful applicants will have to complete language training in order to meet the language requirements of the bilingual position. **
- You must be fluent in either English OR French, including being able to speak, write, read and understand either official language.
- A person’s first official language is the official language, English or French, with which he/she has a primary personal identification, regardless of ethnic origin or mother tongue. This is also the official language in which the person is more proficient.
