This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Education team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus from August 2023.

The Trust is renowned for its commitment to education and delivery of high-quality teaching and training, including to students from the University of Cambridge’s School of Clinical Medicine.

The post holder would primarily be responsible for contributing to the development, delivery and quality assurance of teaching these students, as well as involvement in supporting learning of doctors in training and the wider multi-disciplinary team. This post is available for 6 or 12 months and is offered as 40 hours per week on a junior doctors pay scale. Job share will be considered. It will enable the right candidates to develop their own portfolio in teaching, training, leadership, management and understanding learning as well as being supported in their own development as an educator. There is opportunity to gain formal medical education qualifications if desired as well to work supernumerary in a chosen clinical specialty ( Cardiothoracic surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Anesthesia / Intensive Care Medicine) .

The post holder will need to have a full General Medical Council registration with a License to Practice and have completed foundation years or equivalent. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.
