RTÉ Hiring for Comment Line Operator Job at Dublin , Ireland Full Time

RTÉ Content is responsible for delivering the most compelling programming and content across our radio, television and digital channels – making a bigger impact and allowing us to address important themes and topics in more engaging ways.

Liveline is at the forefront of public debate providing a varied range of content to audiences each weekday and RTÉ Radio 1 wishes to appoint a Comment Line Operator to the Liveline programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for answering the comment line, distilling and summarising listeners’ comments and providing call details to the production team.

They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with an interest in people and their opinions. The successful applicant will have strong knowledge of current affairs and know what makes a good story. Knowledge of the RTÉ Journalism Guidelines would be beneficial.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter and be capable of working under pressure. Knowledge of the Irish language would be an advantage, but not essential. They should also have a typing skill of at least 60 wpm.

This appointment will be made on a part time two-year fixed term contract basis. This role is Monday to Friday between the hours of 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm onsite, on a salary of €12,374 gross per annum.
