Software Developer – Defence Sector
Our client, an award-winning Global IT Consultancy deeply embedded in Defence requires Software Developers for ongoing Defence programmes in Melbourne CBD. This role is offered on a Full-Time basis and requires a minimum Baseline (ideally NV1) Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
Working in a cross-functional and cross-domain Agile development team you will innovate compelling software solutions by contributing to:
- Software design, documentation, development, integration, test and release/deployment
- User interface design and development
- Management and building of DevOps/Agile processes and tools
- Software prototyping, investigations, R&D, software planning (and estimating) status monitoring and reporting.
Experience
- Substantial experience with Agile, Scrum and associated methodologies
- Experience in integration with external systems/applications (REST API, integration protocols, JSON/XML)
- Experience in the integration and customisation of open source technologies (NiFi, Kafka, Elastic (ELK) Stack, Solr)
- Experience in CI/CD tools and technologies and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Jenkins, git)
- Experience in Java and related open source frameworks
- Experience in Front-end development (React, Redux, Typescript, Javascript, CSS3, HTML5)
- Knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering and integration
- Experience in Linux and Windows
- Minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
Requirements
- Based in Melbourne CBD “On-Site”, 5 days a week
- Full Time Opportunity
- This role is open to Australian citizens with a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance
- Start Date: Immediately (within 1 to 4 weeks)
Salary Offer: $120k-$140k Package (depending on experience)
