Ryan Looking for Logistics Assistant Coordinator at Rangiora, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

This is a key role in the logistics team, helping to ensure supply chain deliverables meet offshore demands. You will work with the Logistics Manager to manage the shipment bookings, working closely with shipping companies, container yards, and port and storage contractors. This is a challenging role, requiring an eye for detail and a drive for excellence, and you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Create daily/weekly transactional worklists
• Manage shipment bookings and container movement from finishing to port
• Plan production orders
• Assist management of the site phytosanitary system
• Complete export shipping documentation, and associated quality documents
• Check and approve invoices
• Contribute to safety procedures and tasks

Skills and experience

• Proven ability in a logistics coordinator role
• Knowledge of logistic software or transport management system, SAP or ERP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant field (desirable)
• Familiar with ISO requirements and compliant with safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and fluent in English
• Work collaboratively with initiative and the ability to prioritise
