Safran Hiring for Principal Strategy and Innovation Leader at Brea, CA Full Time NEW

As a key enabler for the CTO, the Principal Strategy and Innovation Leader works under the direction of the CTO to implement and manage a sustainable innovation framework, drive technology incubation and remove roadblocks to ensure success. This role works in a creative space with a team culture whose charter is to explore the realm of the possible by exploiting novel opportunities and technologies that would enable Safran to develop leapfrog product offerings. This role will provide strategic support to the CTO driving a cadence of effective communication and organizational efficiency.

As part of the leadership team, this individual ensures alignment with corporate objectives and adherence to the company’s guiding vision, principles and priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently work with abstract innovation concepts providing insights, analysis, and implementation leadership for Technology Incubator initiatives
• Lead cross-functional group activities through effective collaboration techniques resulting in innovative solutions that transform RAVE product offerings, and leapfrog current industry offerings
• Organize and manage executive-level duties for the CTO, including consolidated budget plans, resource allocation, all hands meetings and communications
• Make decisions and recommendations based on managed risks and impact to gain executive approval
• Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement of process
• Develop and manage interpersonal relationships to influence decisions of senior leadership
• Assume high priority, sensitive special projects, as assigned by Executive Team Members
• Responsible for developing and managing the department budget to cover all aspects of the group

Requirements

• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience working in a senior leadership role
• 7+ years of experience establishing, maintaining and owning department budget
• Strong Aviation Industry experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders including internal teams, integrators, vendors, and customers
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and performance
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of individuals and cultures

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level, skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
