Safran Looking for Front End Developer I at Brea, CA Full Time

The Front-End Developer I contributes to the value and usability of our front-end data portals for internal and external customers by designing, developing, testing and delivering the user interface and the software that powers it. Under limited supervision they must turn data into the presentation (UI) using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue, data visualizations tools like D3.js, and create API’s using Node.js and web framework like Express. As a member of the Business Process Development team, this individual will engage with stakeholders to understand feature requests and requirements. They will work with teammates to create valuable analyses and User Interface Components. The Front-End Developer I applies principles and techniques of computer science and UI design. The Candidate must demonstrate solid technical knowledge and critical thinking skills, and a desire to learn industry best-practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Present reports in a proper fashion in front-end using data from SQL tables, stored procedures, or functions
• Design, develop, maintain, improve, test and release software to improve the company’s Data Portals
• Utilize experience in developing User Interfaces using Angular, Vue, Node.js, and data visualization tools (like D3.js)
• Implement data visualization best practices
• May be called on to participate in other parts of our team’s full stack development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
• 0-3 years of experience working in a similar role
• Practical understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Possess strong skills in HTML, CSS, front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, and API development using Node.js
• Experience in developing in a Linux environment
• Ability to support software integration as well as system and acceptance testing
• Some experience in Relational Database Systems and SQL queries
• Some experience in at least one BI reporting tool is a plus
• Some experience with Test Driven Development is a plus

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $74,000 to 93,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
