We’re looking for a highly motivated, down to earth individual to take on this newly created role within our Finance team as Accounts Officer. Reporting through to the CFO you will be responsible for managing and processing the accounts payable and receivable functions on behalf of Waikato-Tainui. Strong analytical aptitude and a real eye-for-detail will be integral to the success of this function – ensuring timely processing and accuracy of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
Ideally you will be well versed in the end to end AP and AR processes and possess a sound working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP system) to enable you to hit the ground running but as long as you’re quick to pick up new systems and experience using other ERP systems you’ll definitely be considered. Given the extent of internal and external customer interaction this role will have you’ll also need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure you’re set up for success. If you’re someone with the innate ability to identify areas for improvement within the processes you are responsible for and enjoy documenting procedures this would be the perfect role to showcase your talent!
