Part-time position available: *Day Shift: 7:30am – 3:00pm, (32 hours per pay period) working every other weekend and every other holiday. Location Information Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person’s own home or in one of our five Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Robbinsdale and Woodbury. Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care. Responsibilities This position provides a supply of clean, disinfected linens for the campus at all times. They are to keep residents’ clothing clean and washed in a manner, which will preserve color and fabric, and avoid contamination and spreading of bacteria. They will also keep linens and clothing washed, dried, ironed, folded and stored in designate areas on a daily basis, as well as to keep laundry area and equipment clean. Special knowledge, skills and abilities: Must be able to follow written and oral directions and work independently. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with other workers and the residents. Must have a basic understanding of chemicals used in housekeeping. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be knowledgeable about OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen and infectious material. Must be knowledgeable and able to perform Saint Therese’s required procedure for handling Blood-borne Pathogens and infectious material.
