We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who can lead the Workforce Planning BUSINESS ANALYST work for our Workday re-implementation. This is NOT a technical, configuration role. This person will be responsible for partnering with our Workforce Planning COE, Finance and business leadership, Business Technology and Consulting partners to craft an enterprise-level workforce planning business process framework, facilitate change management and service delivery requirements while also partnering on a technology solution that will be used by Finance, Business leadership and other partners. The technology solution will work be partially Workday as well as Adaptive Planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Provide expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, facilitation and needs analysis:
Understand and interpret the diverse issues and requirements of partners which may sometimes conflict and facilitate/negotiate with partners to design solutions that meet overall business needs.
Critically evaluate information gathered from various sources, reconcile conflicts, convert high-level information into details, convert technical information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Elicit business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and other business analysis techniques.
Collaborate cross-functionally with peers and extended project team for dependencies and risk mitigation, awareness and resolution
Facilitate end-to-end functional business analysis and experience design from business need through to UAT and release.
2. Support project planning, timelines, and risk:
Contribute and support detailed project management plans that enable the successful completion of all ES (Employee Success) initiatives, decisions and work.
Support tracking of issues and risks, helping assign owners and driving resolution in a timely fashion. Keep key improvement needs, progress and issues surfaced to project sponsors.
Ensure partner representatives are kept informed of all backlog & project updates
Partner with Program Management Office (PMO) to prioritize complex work, decisions and timelines into a comprehensive plan with achievements and outcomes that align to larger transformation programs
An Ideal Fit:
Has experience with Workday and HR business requirements gathering from a functional lens (This is not a technical role)
Partner closely with the business and technical experts, providing the functional requirements –
Self-starter who can proactively identify requirements, resolve issues, drive decisions.
Creative problem-solver who can develop thoughtful, innovative solutions to unforeseen challenges.
Solid ability to translate needs into pragmatic solutions.
Builds solutions between disparate processes and functions.
Has experience in scaling technology for a global organization and is sensitive to localization, compliance and data privacy requirements.
Master of balancing multiple, rapidly-changing priorities, deliverables and milestones.
Ability to flex mentally and adapt to change well
Excellent communicator and strong influencer – has the ability to partner with people at various levels within and outside of the ES function.
Successful track record of leading initiatives across a series of contending priorities
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field.
Solid grasp of HR processes and compliance needs.
4-6 years of business analyst experience or related experience.
4-6 years of project/program management experience.
Experience working with multiple geographies and large companies
Desired Experience:
Experience with Workday, Salesforce products, Google Suite, Quip, Smartsheets, etc.
Business Analyst Certification
Leading or participating in HR transformation efforts
