Senior Proposal Coordinator
As a recognized global Software as a Service leader, Salesforce provides the opportunity for collaboration, eCommerce and marketing campaign outreach for brands of all sizes, industries and locations around the world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Proposal Coordinator to join the Q RFP Team as part of the Sales Transformation organization.
The Senior Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for effectively managing the RFP project management process and partnering across teams at Salesforce to provide ongoing support for strategic opportunities. Specifically, this person will ensure that responses to RFPs are best-in-class, and are consistent with our messaging, positioning, and brand guidelines. In this role, you will gain knowledge of and exposure to Salesforce’s product portfolio across all platforms while working in a supportive team environment with members inside and outside of the U.S.
This is a multi-faceted position critical to overall business segment and industry success. Candidates must be agile leaders, successful project managers, and problem solvers who are equally skilled at effective communication and general understanding of our product solutions and appropriate positioning. Candidates must also possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as primary project manager for high-quality and highly visible written commercial proposals.
Effectively manage complex responses and multiple deadlines.
Work with multiple stakeholders to compile complete and thorough responses across Salesforce’s suite of products.
Lead and participate in impactful projects that drive efficiencies for the team and help support our internal stakeholders and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Create and follow project plans and maintain scope through completion of the proposal.
Review current practices for project management best practices and assist with standardization across team.
Assist in developing and updating team processes and executing any changes in coordination with team leaders.
Understand Salesforce’s organizational structure and teams to align with to provide support.
Assist and direct account teams to the best teams and/or resources to complete sections of the RFP response as needed.
Maintain advanced-level proficiency with our internal use of Salesforce and sales support functions, including custom objects, queues, reports, dashboards, and opportunity fields.
Analyze data to provide recommendations and insights for changes to processes or new ideas to implement.
Proactively identify problems and business challenges , determine potential impacts to the team and recommend potential solutions.
Strong communicator with e xceptional written and oral communication skills , who is comfortable communicating and presenting across our internal teams and to executive leadership.
Foster an inclusive workplace with your teammates to value and leverage diversity and individual differences to achieve the vision and mission of Salesforce.
Complete other appropriate duties , as assigned by the Sr. Manager/Director/Manager which require similar skills in accordance with business needs.
Requirements:
At least seven to ten years of relevant experience in proposal writing, communications, or project management
Familiarity with working in or leading in an Agile environment.
Project management or Agile certification preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, including time/project management and change management experience.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Ability to prioritize and align to business and shifting organizational priorities.
Must be able to innovate and strategically look ahead, leading the team in critical thinking and sharing a creative vision.
Have executive presence and excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to influence team stakeholders with insights and challenge the status quo.
Past people management experience preferred.
