The Intelligence team’s mission is to change how billions of users access, explore, and interact with knowledge and information. The Software Intern will be a member of the Intelligence Team working to develop the features for the next-generation of the Bixby intelligent assistant. We are building a team of curious, fast-learning, and versatile research scientists and software engineers to develop a new service handling knowledge at a massive scale. We are looking for creative talents to join our team to achieve the following objectives:

• Design and development for a massive global knowledge management service
• Participate in leading-edge discovery utilizing the fields of Natural Language Understanding, Deep Learning, Open Domain Question Answering, Text Classification, Information Retrieval, or Knowledge Extraction

Key Qualifications

• Familiarity with one or more of the following: Natural Language Understanding, Deep Learning, Open Domain Question Answering, Text Classification, Information Retrieval, or Knowledge Extraction
• Proficient in programming languages: C#, Java, Python, or equivalent
• Adept at adapting academic ideas and theoretical algorithms into a production system
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Understanding of best practices in software development
• A can-do attitude with a bias for action

Preferred Qualifications

• Published relevant research or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
• Experience improving performance and scalability on mission critical
• Proficient with SQL and no-SQL databases
• MS/PhD in NLP, ML, AI, Engineering or equivalent
• Familiarity with developing Android applications
