Junior Accounts Payable Officer

Position Summary:

Liaise with suppliers’ regarding invoices and payments. Obtain approval of invoices when required and processing in a timely manner.

Check, review and approve staff expenses ensuring the claims are made within required timeframes and in accordance with internal policy.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Reviewing incoming mail and emails for all invoices and related correspondence and distribute them
• Liaise with internal stakeholders – India, Malaysia, HQ and RTC   
• Record and process invoices, code and input to accounts payable module and obtain approval in a timely manner.
• Checking, reviewing and approving staff expenses. Ensure the claims are made within required timeframes and in accordance with internal policy.
• Follow up on queries and missing invoices to ensure liabilities are established.
• Regular reconciliation of supplier’s statements.
• Work with all departments to ensure timely processing of invoices in accordance with internal policy
• Ensure new vendor master data is set up and maintained in a timely and accurate basis.
• Prepare regular payment runs to pay invoices as they fall due.
• Internal expert on staff expense policies and systems and able to provide training and guidance to all employees.
• Maintain work instructions for AP and staff expenses procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience using SAP
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
• Flexible and adaptable personality, complemented by analytical strength and strong inter-personal skills.
