Overview of the Team and Role
In the SAP.iO Venture Studio, we’re transforming the way SAP builds new businesses. We identify promising talent and ideas, invest between $750K and $2.5M in seed-stage capital, and scale the ventures over time.
You would be joining the SAP.iO team as an Solution Integration Expert for RE:COMMERCE BY SAP, a newly funded venture addressing sustainability in fashion. We are motivated by the vision to accelerate our customers’ transition from linear to circular business models. We know that consumers already participate in the secondhand market, and they expect companies to rethink opportunities to expand products’ lifecycle.
RE:COMMERCE BY SAP set out on a mission to power new models of ownership in circular economy, starting with enabling re-sell of pre-owned products. Our customers need an end-to-end solution so that they can take back, manage and re-sell items as well as track key performance indicators. And the longer the products are in use, the longer they stay away from landfills.
In this role, you will be able to co-define and design the future of SAP’s new product within an agile, interdisciplinary and international environment.
As Solution Integration Expert you will be part of a small team that will be responsible for scoping, designing, developing, testing, and delivering end-to-end integration of RE: COMMERCE BY SAP to various internal SAP systems and external 3rd party software solutions. Examples of the integration solutions could be SAP CX, Analytics, Salesforce, 3rd party warehouse management solutions and many others.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Lead the end-to-end integration activities for your assigned features from vision to implementation
• Understand the RE:COMMERCE BY SAP business scenarios and help design consolidated integration flows to internal and external applications; Integration areas may include but would not be limited to inventory, warehouse management systems, transaction repositories, commerce platforms
• Actively own and contribute to visioning and requirements of engineering activities

• Validate integration designs by developing Proof of Concepts (POC)
• Seek expertise and feedback to apply the latest thinking around Data Integration and Enterprise Workflow approaches
• Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources
• Test both RE:COMMERCE BY SAP APIs and business system APIs to understand capabilities, opportunities, and risks
• Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot connectivity, data transformation, and posting issues

• Challenge the status quo and propose ways to simplify the solution architecture
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for your assigned features that balance user needs, technical effort, and business impact
• Closely collaborate with our advisors, cross-functional teams (Commerce, Industry Cloud, Consumer Industries), account and customer teams to ensure that integration expectations are met
• Ensure compliance with SAP security standards
• Strongly collaborate with business process owners, technical product owners, software developers and other stakeholders

• Act as a mentor to junior technical experts and interns
• Work in a diverse and global team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS or equivalent experience, preferably in computer science or technical degree
• Understanding of basic business and company management processes – in particular around commerce-related activities
• Understanding of data transport over Internet with emphasis on HTTP, in particular via Web Services and data types/markup language such as JSON, CSV, XML
• Experience in converting business requirement to business process and technical design

• Strong understanding of the data model and integration methods in S/4 HANA including full functional knowledge of data Integration concepts and SDLC (analysis, design, implementation, testing/testing support, deployment, post production support)
• Proven track record in data integration and workflow scripting
• Ability to design, deliver and teach solutions to peers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Nice to have, but not required:

• Hands-on experience with any commerce systems (SAP CX, Salesforce or others) and Micro Services

• Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite
• Familiarity with S/4 Fashion
• Experience with Integration Platform as a Service such as Boomi AtomSphere, SAP PO/PI/CPI, MuleSoft or similar

LOCATION
New York City is the preferred location for this role.
Full-time remote is possible for the right candidate, but candidate must be willing to adhere to Eastern time zone for working hours.
