Sawmill Brewery Looking for Marketing Manager at Matakana, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

We are looking for a highly creative, visually talented, business savvy Marketing Manager to join our small team. You will be working within a diverse team to deliver exceptional results, while maintaining Sawmill Brewery values and culture.

The role is key in supporting sustainable growth and brand equity through a combination of new product development and marketing activation planning and implementation.

With modest budgets it is essential that disruptive marketing strategies play a key part. You will be an innovative thinker, with strong commercial acumen, a creative eye, and be willing to muck in and support the team where needed. Ideally you will have a love of beer and understanding of global trends, plus a passion for sustainable practices.

Reporting into the Managing Directors, this is a critical role in delivering the business’ strategic growth plans via innovation and category leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a strong team in a position designed with growth and development opportunities in mind.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting management of the Sawmill brand portfolio (encompassing both new and existing products) within the New Zealand market with support from the leadership team, input into Sawmill’s brand innovation and communication strategies and executing plans.
• Development and execution of plans for allocated categories and identifying new growth opportunities.
• Management of key innovation projects from conception to post launch.
• Ensuring product launches and allocated projects are planned, communicated, and brought to life in an engaging and effective manner in the New Zealand market and align with the overarching brand strategy, with plans spanning both customers and consumers.

To be considered for the role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or similar and a minimum of 6+ years’ brand management experience. You will be results-driven, with a high degree of initiative, a natural talent for bringing ideas to life and a willingness to do what it takes to drive the brand forward. You will be creative, and most of all, you will be passionate about our industry and aligned to Sawmills mission: We have strong values and an authentic story to tell.
